Auxiliary Items FANS
Air fin coolers generally employ
axial flow fans which develop large air volumes at
low static pressure. SALIENT FEATURES
-
Aluminium or FRP fans
- Manually adjustable pitch or auto variable pitch (AVP)
fans
- Dynamically balanced
DRAFT SYSTEM The draft systems used in air fin coolers are
induced draft and forced draft. Typical construction of these arrangements are shown

VIBRATION MONITORING SYSTEM
Vibration is a common problem in any of the rotating
equipment. BGR Energy provides vibration monitoring
system along with the main equipment that monitors
the critical vibrations – For easy access for maintenance, BGR Energy also
provides motor access platform.
DRIVES & TRANSMISSION
The fans of air fin coolers are usually
driven by electric motors either directly or through
V belts/HTD belts/PGGT belts or gear boxes.
|
Direct drive: Low speed up to 15 HP |
|
|
Belt drive: V/HTD/PGGT belt – up to 60 HP with
dynamically balanced pulleys |
|
|
Gear drive: Above 60 HP |
AIR FLOW CONTROL
Manual or automatic controlled louvers
Dual speed electric motors
Variable frequency/speed drive with control system
( VFD/VSD )
Automatic variable pitch (AVP) fans
